Description: Fits 36″, 38″ and 42″ cut ventilated decks using star shaped (or Y shaped) center hole blades. Includes: housing and shaft assembly, nut, bolt and washer. No threads in housing for mount, self tapping bolts required. Complete with bearings & shaft.
The Mandrel shaft is secured in Mandrel Housing and it goes through the deck and the pulleys are attached to it. Then the belt that drives the mandrels is placed on the pulleys. When replacing this part, First remove the Blade from the Mandrel Shaft. The Mandrel Assembly is easily detached by removing the three Washer Head Screws from above the Mandrel Housing on the Mower Deck . You will need to remove the Nut that is attached to the Mandrel Shaft, which is located above the Mandrel Pulley. The complete Mandrel Assembly should come right out now. Remove old Shaft from the Housing and place a new one in place of it. Re-attach the now Complete Mandrel Assembly back to the deck and attach pulleys, belts and blades.
